Overview
Digitizing various shapes so that they can be cut using state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment is the biggest challenge presented to those who want a professional custom foam insert for organizing and protecting their tools, firearms, cameras and other delicate items.
Several companies offer services to digitize your tools and equipment; however, the traditonal process of hand tracing or using complicated camera systems to capture your custom shapes is time intensive and expensive. The upfront costs to a small business or hobbyist often prevents them from pursuing a professional custom solution. This leaves most people who decide to benefit from an organized work environment spending numerous hours to fabricate by hand an organizational solution that is mediocre looking at best.
Welcome to a better way... We use light to generate a true "shadow" of your unique items. Using our template paper, every one of your shapes, whether simple or complex, is captured on a paper template in your own facility, shop or home by you with ease. We then professionally cut out your foam insert per your template and ship it straight to you.

Step-by-Step Process
- Select your foam insert(s) and required accessories at FoamYourBox.com! Place your order, and we will immediately ship you your accessories, including enough template paper to layout each insert in your order.
- Once you receive your package, remove the black bag of template paper from the shipping tube. Be sure to save all packaging to safely ship your completed templates back to us. Do not leave your template paper out of its black bag for more than 15 minutes under fluorescent or industrial lighting. Never expose the paper to the sun!! It only takes one second of sunlight exposure to ruin the paper. Leave the paper in the protective black bag until you are ready to layout your items and create your template.

- Once you know how you want your items laid out, place your tools on top of the yellow template paper in the arrangement desired. For items you wish to be separated by foam (not touching eachother), we recommend leaving a 1/4" minimum gap between your items to ensure the durability of your foam. We also include a bag of circles you can place over the template paper to create finger holes to ease removing your items from your foam insert.

- Once you have everything just as you want it, it's time to expose your template with The Light. DO NOT shine the emitted light at your eyes or skin (or your kids, friends or family pet.) Permanent eye damage will result. Wear the nifty glasses we included in your kit. Take your time to ensure The Light is held vertical and all yellow is removed in the areas you do not want cutout. Our rule of thumb is ~4 seconds of constant light exposure is required to fully expose any given portion of your paper. This means you will need to move The Light slowly and smoothly to ensure even exposure. As long as The Light is held vertical, don't worry about overexposing the paper. (You can't overdo it.) Take care to not bump any of your items once you begin exposing.

- Once you are sure that you have properly exposed all parts of your template, and before moving any of your items, double-check you haven't missed any areas with a low-power white flashlight. The flashlight makes it much easier to see the light yellow color and will not expose the paper.
- After you are sure everything is as you want, move your items from the paper. You should have a crisp yellow shadow of each item you had placed over the paper.

- Roll up your finished template and place it back in the black bag. Be sure to seal the bag so no light can enter.
- Put the bag and accessories back in the shipping tube, affix the pre-paid return shipping label on the outside of the shipping tube and send your templates back. Once we receive your templates, we will promptly cut your foam inserts precisely to your templates and ship the final product to you! We will also immediately issue a refund for any accessories you return to us.
- Enjoy your new professionally cut custom foam inserts!
